Naming the Thing I've Been Writing Since 2012

“When technology gains the power to shape consciousness, memory, identity, and death, it no longer acts only as machinery. It enters the territory of myth.”

That sentence is why I had to name a genre.

Science fiction asks what technology will do. My books ask a different question: what will human beings believe technology has the right to do?

Machines inherit our doctrines. Archives decide what gets remembered. Systems offer salvation while demanding assimilation.

There was no name for this form. So I created one: Mythotechnic Fiction.

I have published What Is Mythotechnic Fiction? The Foundational Statement, explaining the form, its origins in Revelations in 2012, and the principles that guide the larger body of work.
