Over the past several weeks, I have continued expanding the Francisco M. Martinez Library, and a few developments seemed worth recording.
The library now has a dedicated Press Room. Its purpose is simple: to preserve publication history, outside mentions, research coverage, and other public records connected to my writing and research.
The Press Room begins with the original 2012 announcement for Revelations, published through RoseDog Books. That record represents the beginning of my published work. More than a decade later, the library has grown into something much larger, bringing together fiction, research, Mythotechnic Fiction, the Hermit mythos, and several developing branches of work. The live Press Room currently preserves that 2012 publication record.
There have also been a few unexpected outside mentions of my research.
In July, ScholaRef included What Is Mythotechnic Fiction? The Foundational Statement in an Arts and Humanities article titled Navigating Desire, Time, and Myth: New Currents in the Humanities. The article devoted a section to “The Rise of Mythotechnic Fiction” and discussed the genre as an attempt to bring technology, consciousness, artificial intelligence, mythology, theology, metaphysics, institutional power, and questions of human meaning into one literary structure.
A week later, ScholaRef discussed another part of the research program in The Architecture of Foundations: Rebuilding Knowledge from First Principles. This time the focus was Predatory Institutional Gothic, including the Predatory Conversion Chain, Classification Sovereignty, and connections to Mythotechnic Fiction and Post-Personal Dark Leadership.
Another paper, The Universe That Dreams Through Us: Nested Consciousness, Divine Interior, and the Soul's Return to the Whole, has also been indexed by The Consciousness Library through OpenAlex. Its individual research page identifies the paper as part of my Mythotechnic Fiction and Mythic Authority research program and summarizes several of the concepts introduced in the work.
I am not treating these appearances as endorsements, awards, or anything grander than what they are.
For me, the mention is enough.
I placed the research on Zenodo so the work would remain open, accessible, citable, and available for others to encounter without a paywall. Seeing some of those papers begin to move beyond my own website and into other research systems is encouraging.
At the same time, the fiction continues.
On August 8, 2026, I published CAMAZOTZ: THE DEATH BAT, the first novel in the Clear Field Chronicles.
The story follows brothers Marek and Tomas Varga from the destruction of their family in Europe to a new life in New York, where they eventually encounter an ancient jade mask, the thresholds of Xibalba, and the guardian known as Camazotz.
The book represents another expansion of the Clear Field mythology, but from a different direction: ancient gods, immigration, family, grief, crime, supernatural horror, and the question of what happens when a human being becomes the bearer of something much older than himself.
So the library keeps growing.
The novels are growing.
The research is growing.
And now, slowly, some of the work is beginning to appear in places I did not put it myself.
I think I will leave it there for now and see where it goes.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is build the work, document it, make it available, and let other people find it when they find it.
